How To Exhibit

We make it very easy to exhibit here at the Kingston Public Library. The Art Committee is responsible for exhibits in the gallery, the community display case, and the flat panels. We ask artists to provide us with several pieces from your proposed exhibit and an artist's statement for the committee to preview. You may request a specific month. We will then work with you to schedule your exhibit and a reception. A committee member will help with the installation of your exhibit. All requests for community exhibits from individuals or groups should be submitted to the art committee using the same forms and procedures.

The committee has created the artist's statement to effectively publicize your exhibit. Each artist must submit the loan contract when the exhibit is installed. For more detailed information, see the Guidelines for exhibitors.

The Gallery looks out on the library courtyard. The area is 40 feet long and has lighting that will enhance the artwork. We use the Walker System to hang the exhibits.

The display case is located in the reading area across from the circulation desk.The case measures 17" in height, 20" in depth and 68" in width. This case is used for both art exhibits and community displays.

The flat panels are also located in the reading area. We have three flat panels and work can be hung on both sides. These panels measure 68" in height and 50" in width.
