 The Friends of the Kingston Public Library

The Friends of the Kingston Public Library are a group whose purpose is preserving and strengthening the Library by:
           Creating an awareness of the Library and its services
           Generating local and state support of public libraries
           Working with the Library Trustees to meet short and long term goals for the Library
           Supplementing library programs through community outreach, volunteerism, and fundraising

      Some past library programs made possible by the work of the Friends of the Library:
            Acquisition of supplemental library materials
            Purchasing furnishings and equipment for the Library
            Holiday celebrations
            Vacation programs
            Performances during the Summer Reading Program
            Discount museum passes
            Spring Plant Sale & Fall Book Sale

We meet approximately once a month and we are looking for new members! If you have an interest in the library and the community as a whole we would appreciate your time and talents! We’re looking for new ideas and suggestions. The Friends of the Kingston Public Library are pleased to sponsor a year round book sale cart.  Help your local Library by stopping by to browse for exciting new best-sellers, fresh copies of old favorites, children's books and videos, and books on tape.

Prices are hard to match: $1.00 hard covers, $0.50 paperbacks, $1.00 videos and books on tape. Children's books: $0.50 hardcover, paperback and board books $0.25, $1.00 videos.  The cart is located near the Circulation Desk.  Happy shopping!

Friends Sponsor Museum Passes!

Thanks to the Friends of the Kingston Public Library, the Library is able to offer passes to the following Museums: the Museum of Science, the Boston Children's Museum, the New England Aquarium, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Plimoth Plantation, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Massachusetts Parks, the Children's Museum in Easton, the Roger Williams Zoo and Zoo New England.
