Please join us for our next meeting- Friday, August 2, 2013 at 1 p.m.

Thanks to all who supported the book and bake sale! The Friends made $150.00 from the bake sale and almost $1400.00 from the book sale! Thanks to all the talented bakers, the tireless volunteers, our fantastic library staff, and our awesome customers. THANK YOU!!!

Have a special recipe? Share it with us!

Due to some renewed interest in our community cookbook fundraiser, the Friends of the Kingston Public Library are looking to add YOUR favorite recipes.
The recipes can be dropped off at the Circulation desk of the library or emailed to the Friends @ drpeters67@hotmail.com.
We're looking forward to your creative, culinary contributions!
Thanks!!!

Friends Membership

"The first general rule for friendship is to be a friend, to be open, natural, interested; the second rule is to take time for friendship. Friendship, after all, is what life is finally about."
---Nels J.S. Ferre

Happy New Year to one and all!

We'd like to start off the New Year by extending a personal invitation to become a member of the Friends of the Kingston Public Library!

Who are the Friends of the Kingston Public Library?
The Friends of the Kingston Public Library are a group whose purpose is volunteerism and fundraising as well as supplementing and sponsoring library programs such the recent memoir writing series and the Tuskegee Airman program.

How do the Friends help the Kingston Public Library?
The Friends fundraising proceeds from the Spring and Fall annual book sales, library book cart and YOUR membership in the Friends help support the funding of museum passes, library programs, the Youth Advisory council and other materials for the library.

Why become a member of the Friends of the Kingston Public Library?
You can choose to be as involved as you want. We know we can count on you for support, whether it’s just by being a member of our ranks or by volunteering to help out from time to time. In addition, the membership fees help us to help the library.

If you are not a member or need to renew your membership dues, I strongly encourage you to join the “Friends.” Your membership and donations make it possible for the library to grow and to offer more programs and services. To renew or to join the “Friends,” please download a membership form and drop it off at the library. You can also pick up a membership form at the Circulation desk at the library.

Thank you for your past and future support, we hope to hear from you soon!

Gayle Metcalf
President, Friends of the Kingston Public Library
