The Kingston Public Library will once again host award-winning pastel artist Gregory John Maichack to present this hands-on workshop for adults ‘Sail on the Craft of Pastel Painting’ on Thursday, March 28 at 6:30. This program will be held at the Kingston Council on Aging, 30 Evergreen Street, Kingston, MA.
During this two-hour workshop, participants will learn to how make light enhance a scene as they develop their skills with pastels. This workshop will offer captivating and funny anecdotes on Monet’s life and works. Through the use Maichack’s pastel version of Monet’s Impressionist painting ‘Sailboat at Le Petit-Gennevilliers’, attendees will enjoy the hands-on experience with pastels. All participants will take home their own painting to take home.
This is a free workshop designed for sheer beginners to experienced artists. Participants will freely experiment with hundreds of the artist’s professional grade pastels, pastel pencils, and pastel paper, in this fun pastel painting workshop. All supplies will be provided.
