(Saturday, June 18) The Hampton Trio are coming to the Kingston Public Library for a live performance. With classical guitar played by Beverly Davis, mandolin by Mark M. Davis, and mandola (tenor mandolin) by Robert A. Margo, The Hampton Trio will perform classical, romantic and contemporary music. Inspired by the groundbreaking work of groups such as Trio Nuovo (Japan) and Trio Chamorro (Spain), their goal is to popularize and add to the existing repertoire for trios with this instrumentation.
The Hampton Trio has performed at the 46 Festival Internacional de Plectro de La Rioja (2018) as well as The Sunday Sounds Series sponsored by the Boston Classical Guitar Society, the Bread Box Theater, the Packing House and other New England venues. The members of the Trio also perform in the New American Mandolin Ensemble and have appeared in plucked string music festivals in Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands and the USA.
The Hampton Trio will perform at the Kingston Public Library on Saturday, June 18th at 2:00 PM. The Library closes at 2:00 PM on Saturday but will remain open for the performance.
This free performance is sponsored by the Kingston Public Library Foundation.
