(Saturday, July 30 @ 2:00 PM) As we enter the final month of Summer, the Library is pleased to offer its last music performance of the Music @ the Library concert series with the Weston Wind Quintet. Consisting of French Horn, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, and Bassoon, the music of the woodwind quintet creates sonic tapestries and textures for your listening pleasure and aural imagination. The Weston Wind Quintet are happy to put their considerable talents and skills to use on a Saturday afternoon in the Library.
The members of the Weston Wind Quintet are Michael Tabak on flute, Alessandro Cirafici on oboe, Danby Cho on Clarinet, Elizabeth Jones on French Horn, and Shu Satoh on bassoon. Mr. Tabak studied at Julliard School of Music Preparatory Division and is principal flute of the Apollo Ensemble of Boston. Mr. Cirafici studied at New England Conservatory and is principal oboe of the Boston Civic Symphony and has performed with the Boston Pops. Ms. Cho holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Boston University and is principal clarinet with the Boston Chamber Symphony. Ms. Jones studied at Illinois State University and has played with Claflin Hill Symphony, Atlantic Symphony and others. Mr. Satoh has been principal bassoon for the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic, Newton Symphony, Boston Civic, and many more.
