The Kingston Public Library will be hosting a set of works entitled “My Menagerie” by Gigi Paris for the month of August. The exhibit features a collection of eleven oil paintings representing nature and the environment from an artist’s perspective. Some titles include Sanctuary, Kaleidoscope, and Winterberry Treat.
Ms. Paris grew up in North Reading and graduated from Boston College. She went on to teach Literary Analysis and Expository writing at Brockton High School at a time when it was the largest high school east of the Mississippi. Upon retirement, she joined a local oil painting class run by Violet Berry and continues under her instruction and guidance to this day.
The exhibit will be on view in the Library’s gallery throughout August. The Kingston Public Library is open Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays 10 to 5 p.m. and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 10-8 p.m.
