Our Library services are evolving!

When we started curbside pickup back in June, we asked you to disregard system emails – the ones from sirsi@ocln.sirsi.net – and wait for a staff member to call you about your holds.

Well, wait no more: email notifications are back!

Starting September 21, if we've got your email address in your library account, you’ll get an email, not a call, to let you know your holds are ready for curbside pickup. If you signed up for text messages, you’ll get those as an extra added bonus, along with either a friendly phone call or an email.

Your holds will be available for 7 business days after you're notified, so be sure to grab them as soon as you can. You can check on holds and manage your preferences in MyAccount in the OCLN catalog. As always, give us a shout at 781-585-0517 or send us an email at library@kingstonpubliclibrary.org

Kingston Council on Aging

Next week begins our phased re-opening of the Senior Center, with limited programs being offered to Kingston Seniors! As we navigate this new way of welcoming friends back into the building, we want to remind everyone that the health and safety of our members, staff, and volunteers is always the priority, and therefore strict sanitation and social distance guidelines will be followed.

A limited number of exercise groups will begin, and some craft groups will be back in the building in small numbers. If you were a regular at the COA, but do not want to participate in the exercise or craft groups, we will be offering “Chat Groups” twice a week to provide the opportunity for in-person, socially distanced conversation with friends. All members wishing to attend ANY program WILL need to register, and will be asked a few health questions before they are allowed into the building. Mask are also mandatory while inside the building.

To register for a program, or for more information on activities and our re-opening procedures, contact Brenda Fitzgerald at 781-831-6042. We are looking forward to welcoming you back!
