Home Delivery

Library Services for the Homebound

We bring the Kingston Public Library to you!

What is the Home Delivery Program?
It’s a service offered by the Kingston Public Library to deliver books and other materials to Kingston residents who are unable to travel to the library.

Who is eligible for Home Delivery?
The service is intended for Kingston residents who are unable to travel to the library for any reason. This includes those with permanent or temporary disabilities or health problems; those unable to get out because of driving issues; and  those who have been hospitalized or are temporarily confined to nursing homes or their own home.

Who will bring the books to my home?
Books and other library materials will be delivered by a library staff member.

How will you know what I want?
The Home Delivery Service form includes a section on your interests to aid in the selection of materials. The program coordinator, Jennifer, will speak with you to learn the types of library resources you desire.

You can ask for specific titles and make more general requests (i. e. mysteries, or documentaries). We will also be happy to make suggestions for you.

Can I request videos, magazines, and audio books?
Yes, we will bring you any materials that you would be able to borrow if you were at the library yourself.

How do I sign up?
Call Jennifer, home delivery specialist, at 781-585-0517 x 6280, email kilib@kingstonpubliclibrary.org or fill out our online form.
