“There is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend with chocolate.” — Linda Grayson
The Friends meet on the first Friday of the month at 1 p.m. in the Library’s Activities Room. We are a group of dedicated volunteers who raise funds year round to provide services to the Library and the community.
Who are the Friends of the Kingston Public Library?
We support the library and its mission through fundraising, volunteering, promoting awareness of library services, and advocating for the library. We meet on the first Friday of the month at 1 pm, and new members are always welcome.
How do the Friends help the Kingston Public Library?
The proceeds from the Spring and Fall book sales, two book sale carts in the lobby, and your annual membership dues help support:
- discount museum pass program
- library programs
- Youth Advisory Council (teen volunteers)
- Early Literature programs for children
- sprucing up library spaces
- professional development for library staff
Why become a member of the Friends of the Kingston Public Library?
To invest in your public library!
You can choose to be as involved as you want — attend meetings, volunteer at book sales, bake for bake sales, help with publicity, and more. In addition, your membership fees help us to support the library in very concrete ways.
If you’re interested in joining the Friends of the Kingston Public Library, contact us at 781-585-0517 or stop by the circulation desk at the library to pick up an application.
And thank you for your support!
